Short Account of Alan Dale Cheney

Memories of Alan Dale Cheney written by Louis Eric Cheney, son of Alan Dale Cheney.

Alan was a music teacher by trade and taught me how to play the cello quite well.  I grew up in Heber, AZ until I graduated high school and this is where Alan raised me along with his wife Karen Prestwich.

Alan was a hard worker and taught his sons how to work.  Jonathan, Charles (Chip), Randy, and myself would often go out and cut wood in the nearby forest on the 504 road in Heber, AZ.   This is where I found a passion for loving to work hard.  Alan also brought the rest of the family on these trips.  Alicia, Colette, and Emily would join in on the fun.

Alan also taught his children how to garden by planting a garden.  I can remember weeding rows of corn, squash, carrots, and other vegetables.

Alan was a great father and continues to teach his children life long lessons.  He enjoys to garden, play music, and spend time with his family.

  1. Thanks, Louis. Mom and I enjoyed the pictures of the house I grew up in and the short account you wrote. The things you put on the blog are accurate.

    Love,

    Dad
